Miserable Mabel on Free Milk
I am a working stiff. I get my lazy lardy ass out of bed every morning. I shower when I need it, I get dressed and walk downtown. There I set up my spot to sell my hand rolled cigars and whatever else I think is worth selling. It's hard work hustling for the little cash I earn every day. But I am proud to say that I am not sucking on the government's teat thinking I deserve a free ride. I support myself fair and square.
True, I did suck on that government teat for a couple years when times were tough. I needed a little help while I pulled myself together. I am not proud of that fact. I never saw it as a way of earning my livelihood for the rest of my life. I was grateful for the help, but I looked forward to the day when I no longer needed to take money that I did not earn myself.
So along comes Amanda Clayton. At only 24 years old, she is a single mom of 2 kids and she is sucking on the government teat like a newborn. Suck, suck, suck. Then she gets a windfall that many of us dream about. She is delivered a milk truck but she still wants to suck on that sore teat. A 24 year old collecting food stamps may be bad enough. But still collecting the food stamps for 5 months after winning a cool million and thinking it is ok is enough to make my tits sag to my knees in disgust.
Her lack of brains shows when she said she didn't think there was anything wrong with receiving food stamps after her big win. I don't know about her state (Michigan) but where I live, if you are on the dole and you have a change in your financial status, you need to report that change within 10 days.
Maybe that is the problem. Ms Clayton claims that she has no income. She took a lump sum. So, she has no weekly or monthly income. Poor thing says she is having a hard time as she has two homes, a new car and bills to pay.
Why do I not feel sorry for her?
Why do I want to kick her stupid ass from one side of the town to the other?
Why do I want to bitch-slap her?
At 24 years of age and over $500,000 in her pocket AFTER taxes, and even as a single mom with two kids, Clayton has the world at her feet. With an ounce of brains and perhaps some good advice, she could set herself up for a very good life. She could go to school and learn a decent profession that could make her independent and proud, not to mention provide a decent living for her kids.
I bet she is spending the money faster than the government can print it. I bet she is spending it all on foolish things and that within a few years she will have nothing left. I bet it won't be long before she is wanting her entitlement again.
That's the problem these days. Too many people think that the government owes them a living. Welfare, unemployment, food stamps....all there for the taking. You just need to know how to work the system to get your share.
There was a time when people would be ashamed to ask for assistance. People took pride in supporting their families and making an honest living, no matter how modest it was. Now, there seems to be more pride taken in seeing how much can be had for not working for it.
Ms Clayton should pay back every penny she took for food stamps since her winning, plus interest. Perhaps she should even pay back some of what she got before her winning as well. I think there should be some sort of law requiring people getting monies from the government to work for part of their assistance. Certainly the state could use help in some capacity such as filing, typing, cleaning mowing lawns or something. What is wrong in working for something that you are given? Perhaps there should be some government jobs set aside for those who need aid so that they can EARN it. Let the lazy shits work for a living.
Maybe some of you forgot where the food stamp money comes from. Those of you working should be hotter than a habanero knowing that your hard earned money in the form of taxes goes to lazy good for nothings who don't care to work. I don't mind helping those who need it while they get back on their feet. I am not talking about those with serious permanent disabilities either. Any one of us can fall upon hard times. I do have a problem supporting the lazy asses who have 100 excuses as to why they can't work, Ever.
Those of you who have big hearts who think I am wrong should have a special tax so that you can support your opinion and support a life long teat sucker from your own wallet.
Remember that our forefathers fought for our independence, not for us to become dependent on anyone or anything.

HERE, HERE!!! On all counts listed. I couldn't agree more. I am sick to death of the sense of entitlement that seems to prevail in this country. God bless all of us who try our best to provide for ourselves and ours and I wouldn't mind watching Mable bitch-slap a few of the others who seem spend all of their time figuring out how to milk the system out of what they do not deserve, depriving those who do need occasional help or, because of real disability, need continuing help. That young'un needs a good swift kick in the pants for sure. I hope the powers that be catch up with her real good and fine her royally. Keep blaring the horn, Mabel!
ReplyDeleteLine up the slackers. I have work for them to do. Get them a job at DMV so there won't be such long lines. Let them clean houses and help the elderly and disabled.
ReplyDeleteLet them work up a sweat instead of sitting around collecting our money. I would be all to happy to kick their butts so they would be too sore to sit on!
Mabel
Wow. She won't be broke in a few years, she'll be broke in a few months. Guaranteed.

ReplyDeleteCertainly nuttin' to argue with ya about here.
What's sad is that this kinda represents the state we've been systematically dumbed-down to. There are plenty of other people Amanda Clayton's age who would do the same thing in the same situation. In fact, I'll go so far as to surmise that the MAJORITY of people her age (and even a good deal older) would do the same if possible.
The Americonned People have been brainwashed over many decades to not only accept "Socialism" but to actually DESIRE it. I strongly suspect that Amanda Clayton represents the general outlook of most people under the age of 50 living in the U.S. today.
Of course it would probably be an utter waste of my time explaining to most folks that nearly every single major problem we face in this country today can be traced back to one or more transgressions against the U.S. Constitution that our Founding Fathers worked so hard to craft for us. As someone else once wisely observed: The U.S. Constitution is a treasure map to continued prosperity which we threw away once we became very well off, apathetic, and infiltrated by the forces of Socialism who deliberately set out to ruin our way of life.
Sadder still is that the people interviewed in the video above seem to be entirely clueless to the fact that even if Amanda Clayton suddenly had a change of heart for the better and decided to refuse any further taxpayer-provided monetary assistance, it wouldn't actually save the taxpayers a single penny. The government thugs 'n' traitors to "the traditional American Way of life" (whether federal or state traitors) would see to it that the money saved on Amanda Clayton would be diverted to some other unworthy cause... say, for instance, government grants to study the mating habits of rabbits, or to lying "scientists" determined to further cook the books in support of the false "global warming" scenario, etc., etc.
See, what few people understand is that the power behind the scenes is DELIBERATELY siphoning off America's wealth in an attempt to lower our standard of living and reduce us to servitude of global Socialism. Amanda Clayton is just one small example of what is occurring on a much larger, much more disastrous level - a level that involves billions of dollars every single day. Amanda Clayton is but a microcosm of a massive problem that will eventually succeed in utterly wrecking this and every other (so-called) "free" country.
OK, stepping down off my soap box now.

Stephen,
ReplyDeleteIs there room on your soap box for me? or maybe we can take shifts. saying what needs to be said to the masses who do not see what you are saying will be tiring to say the least. So many are brainwashed in so many areas of politics...and don't get me started on religion...although I suspect you and I have different view on that subject! :)

ReplyDelete>>..."religion...although I suspect you and I have different view on that subject!"
Hmmm... maybe, maybe not. I have no idea what your views are on that topic. But I will say this about mine: Although I firmly believe in the Atonement of sins and Salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, that's pretty much where my agreement with mainstream Christianity ends. As with most of my beliefs about most other things, my spiritual/religious viewpoints are of the "unorthodox" variety.
I figure I might as well rebel against ALL the usual belief systems.
Ha! ;o)

Senor McCarthy suggested I read this in relation to my Tossing It Out post today. I think you are right on all accounts here. There is a problem with the mindset of most Americans today and the government has had a big hand in creating and perpetuating that mindset. I'd suggest that maybe they should go back to teaching ethics in schools, but after the free breakfast and free lunch provided by taxpayers to kids who come from homes that subsist on welfare and government handouts the message might not hit its mark. No arguments from me about what you said or anything in Stephen's comments.
